Furniture Painting 101
Furniture Painting 101: This is the perfect workshop if you're new to painting furniture. Using Fusion Mineral Paint, we'll cover all the steps, from prep to finish, as well as review the many ways to refresh and restyle your home with a pot of paint, a few basic tools, and some imagination! We’ll paint an instructor-provided piece of furniture together, then each participant will paint a small wood project to take home, (usually a tray or sign, depending on availability, projects may vary from those pictured). Techniques covered include preparing the surface, painting without brush strokes, applying topcoats and finishing touches.

Advanced Furniture Painting: Take your furniture painting to the next level! Learn several easy techniques that let you get creative!In this class we’ll create sample boards and a small project (usually a small wood box or crate depending on availability) using a variety of techniques including distressing, dry brushing, blending, and glazing to create unlimited original looks. All materials supplied. Furniture Painting 101 is recommended but not required before taking this class.

Custom Wood Tote: Build, paint and customize a solid wood tool tote with a variety of materials including Fusion Mineral Paint, stencils, transfers, resin castings and more! This is a great class to hone your skills before painting your own furniture. This is a four hour class broken up into two session and is held over one or two days, depending on the venue. In the first session, we’ll build and paint your tote. In the second session, we’ll add custom elements to make this tote uniquely yours. It’s great for storing your paint supplies or garden tools -- it would even be a cute planter! Ages 16 and up. All materials supplied.

Furniture Painting: Bring Your Own Piece: Paint a piece of your own furniture in this three-part workshop. In class one, we’ll evaluate and prepare your furniture piece for painting, including selecting a color and a discussion of how you want your finished project to look. In week 2, we’ll paint and learn about topcoats and enhancements like changing hardware, adding transfers, distressing and other finishing touches. In week three, we’ll finish your piece with a topcoat and any additional enhancements you choose. Please note: furniture pieces are limited to what you can carry in and out by yourself up a small flight of stairs – plant stands and small tables are ideal. You will need to take your piece home with you each week. The materials fee includes a pint of Fusion Mineral Paint, color chart,

Kitchen Cab Rehab: Paint your cabinets for a new look at a fraction of the cost of replacing them! In this workshop we go over prep, supplies, how to paint any cabinet surface, (wood, veneer, laminate) and show you a few techniques to make your refinished cabinets pop! During this class, we’ll paint sample cabinet doors or boards. All materials provided but feel free to bring one of your own doors or drawer fronts for individualized tips and techniques.
Introduction to Milk Paint: Milk paint has been around for thousands of years. Made from all natural ingredients it provides a non-toxic, long-lasting finish for your painted pieces. Milk Paint by Fusion is a powder that is mixed with water. In this workshop, we’ll learn how to mix, prep and paint to get a variety of looks, from Old World elegance to rustic to modern and sleek. We’ll paint sample boards to try out the different colors and looks, then paint a small wood project to take home (usually a wood crate but projects may vary from those pictured depending on availability of materials).
