Paint Your Own Piece

Paint a piece of your own furniture in this comprehensive, workshop. We'll evaluate and prepare your piece for painting, including selecting a color and a discussion about how you want your finished piece to look. Next,we'll paint your piece and add a topcoat, if desired. Finally, we'll review options for enhancements like adding transfers, changing hardware, distressing and other finishing touches.This class is designed to be completed in one day, but participants are welcome to come to our Open Studio on Sunday to finish up or to allow for additional drying time. The fee includes paint, topcoat of your choice, decorative waxes or glazes, all disposable materials and light refreshments. Transfers, hardware and any other embellishments are purchased separately.
 

PLEASE READ: furniture pieces are limited to what you can carry in and out by yourself, and up a small flight of stairs. Plant stands, small tables and chairs are ideal. You may leave your piece overnight in the studio if you need more time to finish or additional drying time. For larger furniture, a private workshop (1 or two people) is recommended.
